Professional Jeweller pays tribute to the jewellery industry’s greatest people

Professional Jeweller magazine revealed this year’s list of the Hot 100 UK jewellery professionals on September 3rd at a glittering, invite-only party at One Marylebone in London. The annual event was held this year in association with the Company of Master Jewellers and sponsored by Diamond Partner International Jewellery London and Gold Partners Tresor Paris and Bering.

The identity of those on the Hot 100 list is kept secret until the big reveal at the party, which this year had an emerald theme. Guests were treated to drinks and food at the event before an exclusive screening of photographs taken of each person in the Hot 100.

Entertainment continued into the night with music from the Redstone Collective, a Scalextric track sponsored by Pursuit and a photobooth sponsored by Clogau Gold.

A book packed with exclusive portrait photography and insightful interviews featuring this year’s Hot 100 was given out at the event to guests and will be posted out to subscribers of Professional Jeweller with the October issue of the magazine.

Professional Jeweller is the UK’s leading business magazine for jewellery professionals. The monthly publication and website is a one-stop source for breaking news, commentary, trade insight and buying inspiration.
Professional Jeweller editor Kathryn Bishop said: “This year we mark the fourth anniversary of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 and celebrate the brilliance of each individual who has made this year’s list.

“They are innovators in their field; the ones who don’t just go an extra step but a further 10. This year’s Hot 100 is brimming with retailers carving their own paths, designers who have buyers flocking to place orders, and businesspeople showcasing nous and innovation in times that are, admittedly, still tough for our industry.”

The 2013 Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is not a list with a number one winner, but is instead broken down into five categories: Trendsetters for jewellery designers who have led the industry in 2013, Retail Stars for UK jewellers who have demonstrated world-class retail skills, Business Big Shots for the jewellery industry’s most impressive leaders, Trailblazers for the individuals forging their own way in the industry, and NexGems, a celebration of Britain’s freshest jewellery design talent.
